T Express : The Steepest Wooden Roller Coaster in The World

Normal roller coaster don’t excite you anymore ? Want something different ? If you visit South Korea, come and try this T-Express roller coaster. Considered as the steepest wooden roller coaster in the world, at 77degre,this ride will definitely give you the excitement with its top speed at 104km/h. The world’s superb wooden roller coaster will leave you with unforgettable memories you can treasure forever. And honestly, the T-Express was the best roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. I’d tell people to pass it up if they’re not into roller coasters though. The only challenge to this visit was the shear amount of people which made the wait times long and walking was like being inside a pinball machine. So I would suggest trying to go on a weekday or national holiday to avoid the crowds.

This gigantic  roller coaster ride is one of the attraction in Everland Theme Park, located at Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea. Everland was something like Hong Kong Ocean Park or Disneyland with a bigger area and with Korean flavor.  A zoo with wide selection of animals that makes children go ‘wow’, a Safari Tour in air-con buses which offer right-in-your-face encounter with lions, tigers and bears; 4D cinemas, roller-coaster rides, haunted houses experience, colorful parades, musical performances topped with European Gardens with beautiful flowers varying according to seasons.

Everland theme park is a fun place, the T-World Express roller coaster is a must ride but, other than that I will say I was unimpressed with other ride selection.

How to Get There :

Public buses to Everland available from Gangnam station.  2000Won per adult.  The bus stop is located in the middle of a wide road divider.  Check out which direction to take. Expect to travel for at least one hour from Seoul city to get to Everland.  All buses will stop at a remote bus terminal and passengers will have to transfer to Everland shuttle buses to reach its main entrance.

Things you would like to know :

  • Foreign passport holders (bring a photocopy) get a 20% discount off the park ticket price.
  • Try avoid visiting the parks on weekend.
  • Queue jumpers. This happened often at this park (rides, food lines). The queue jumping is different from China. Most were parents of children or friends/relatives “catching up with their kids” but it was clear in some instances that the kids were sent up front first by themselves (jumping) and then adults following. Having the expectation that this will happen will make your experience less stressful.
  • Toilets can be found everywhere. Cleanliness was average, not the worst but not like Disney.
